We had a fabulous stay as a family at Claire’s bungalow. It very much felt like home & was welcoming and warm. All the things you could ever need were readily available in great immaculate condition.

The House

The Hollies is an attractive mid-terrace bungalow, on a quiet no-through road which turns into a track leading to the coastal path. It’s also only a few steps away from the picturesque village green and a quick stroll on from there to the excellent village pub. Read more about the village and surrounding area here.

It’s a perfect tranquil, dog-friendly holiday home for a couple or small family.

Inside

The décor throughout is light, comfortable and contemporary.

There are three bedrooms with two doubles and one single bed. A cot is available on request, as is a fourth, fold-out bed suitable for a younger guest. The house features a separate bathroom with a power shower and bath.

The kitchen is well equipped for cooking (as noted in our many excellent reviews) and has a large kitchen table for dinning. Bifold doors open straight out into the garden. Leading off the kitchen there is an open plan lounge with cosy, realistic flame fire.

The Garden

The back garden is private, enclosed and well fenced – ideal for our canine guests. It backs directly onto beautiful Dorset farmland where the sheep and pony might pop by to say hello (no feeding the pony though as he’s on a special diet!).

There’s a patio area with table and chairs for summer dining and a portable BBQ available for your use.

Dog friendly

We’re dog friendly and welcome guests with one well behaved dog or two small dogs for an extra charge of £25 per stay. We ask that you keep your dog(s) on a lead when at the front of the house and in the driveway.

The enclosed rear garden is perfect for dogs to sniff freely and there are super walks within easy reach of the front door (and the pub is dog friendly too!).

Access & Parking

Self check-in is via lockbox from 3pm on the day of arrival. Claire will be in touch with all the details once you’ve confirmed your booking. Check-out is 10am, with later checkout sometimes available on request, at a charge of £15 / hour – please ask when booking.

There are two allocated parking spaces in a shared driveway: please look out for ‘The Hollies’ parking signs.

From the drive the front door is reached via three steps (pictured here) and along a paved path.
